After 10 days of glamorous film premieres, stunning frocks and celebrity-packed screenings, one of the main international film festivals – Cannes Film Festival 2017 came to an end. As predicted, it didn’t disappoint – we had a good share of amazing directorial debuts.
Last night this year’s jury, headed by Spanish director Pedro Almodovar, selected winners for acting, writing and directing. Swedish political satire “The Square” took the main prize of the night yesterday. Another highlight of the night was Sofia Ford Coppola’s big win as the Best Director for her film “The Beguiled.”

Best screenplay: Joint winners Yorgos Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou for The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and Lynne Ramsay for You Were Never Really Here
Camera d’Or (best debut film): Leonor Serraille, Jeune Femme
Short film prize: A Gentle Night, Qiu Yang
